How suggestions work
Why is this stretch suggested and not that one?
Every suggestion has to lean on something you did not pay for: a bank holiday, a company day, shutdown leave, or leave you already booked. Booking a Friday for an ordinary long weekend gives you three days off for one day of leave, but it works anywhere in the year and needs no planning, so LeaveMax does not clutter the list with it.
What does the multiplier mean?
Days off divided by every day of leave spent on that stretch, including days you had already booked inside it. That is why extending a break you already own shows a smaller number each time: you are being told the value of the whole stretch, not of the one extra day. Anything under 2.0× is not shown.
A block says it includes days I already booked
That is deliberate. If a suggested stretch overlaps leave you have already taken, LeaveMax says so and counts those days in the cost, so nothing is ever described as free when it is not.
Why is a stretch marked "Holidays TBC"?
It runs past the last year gov.uk has announced. Weekends are still correct; unannounced bank holidays are treated as ordinary working days, so the stretch may quietly get better once dates are published.
My dates are wrong for Scotland or Northern Ireland
Check Settings › Nation. Bank holidays differ between the three UK divisions, and the whole plan changes with it.
Purchases
I bought Remove Ads and the adverts are back
Go to Settings › Restore Purchases. The purchase is tied to your Apple Account, so it restores on any device signed into the same account. If it still does not restore, make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account you bought it with, then get in touch.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple Account.
Widgets and notifications
The widget is blank or says "Open LeaveMax to get set up"
Open the app once and finish the short setup. The widget reads the same data as the app and needs a configuration to exist. If it stays blank, remove the widget and add it again.
The widget shows yesterday's countdown
Widgets are refreshed by iOS on its own schedule. LeaveMax asks for a refresh at every midnight, but iOS can delay it on low battery. Opening the app updates it immediately.
I am not getting break reminders
Reminders arrive at 9am, the number of days before a break you chose in Settings. Check that notifications are allowed in iOS Settings › LeaveMax › Notifications. Reminders are only scheduled for breaks that are still in the future.
Calendar
I changed a break's dates and my calendar is wrong
LeaveMax has write only calendar access, which means it can add an event when you ask, but iOS never lets it find, change or remove one afterwards. When you move a break's dates, the old event stays where it is. The app tells you when this has happened; delete the old event in the Calendar app and use Add to Apple Calendar again for the new dates. The same applies if you delete a break.

Where is my data kept?
On your device only. There is no account and no server. See the privacy policy for the detail.
Can I move my plan to a new phone?
Restoring a new iPhone from an iCloud or computer backup of the old one brings LeaveMax's data with it. There is no separate export yet.
How do I delete everything?
Delete the app. That removes every plan, setting and company day with it.
